Big Wheels – C.C. Designs – Mindy Eggen Design

Happy Hello! Welcome to Tuesday!! I’m really having fun making my own backgrounds lately.

For this card, I created my own stencil. I took the Starburst Plate from Sugar Pea Designs and cut it out on acetate to create a stencil. I placed the acetate on top of my cardstock and used some painters tape to hold it in place.

Then using my Fossilized Amber Distress Ink Oxide, I gently went around the entire card to create this fun burst! I removed the stencil and lightly applied some more ink to the middle of the burst. Once I was satisfied with the background, I trimmed it down to 4″ x 5 1/4″ and attached it to a black piece of cardstock measuring 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″. Before I do anything else, I want to stamp my sentiment in the top corner using Memento Black Tuxedo Ink.

With my copic markers, I colored up this fun little guy riding his big wheel. I then cut him out with my Scan n Cut and attached him to the middle of my card with foam squares. To finish off the card, I added a few drops of Nuvo Crystal Morning Dew Drops.
