Mama Elephant Peonies In Bloom

Welcome everyone! I’m just popping in with a quick card to share using this beautiful Peonies In Bloom stamp set from Mama Elephant. I’m also entering this in their Top Card Contest over on Instagram. It’s pushing the deadline a little but I enjoyed coloring up this beauty.

I normally go for bright, bold colors but I really wanted to try this coral combination.

I stamped my images on Neenah Solar White card stock with copic friendly ink. Then colored with copic markers. For the blooms I used R12, R02, and R05. The leaves I colored with YG17, YG07 and YG01 and for the centers I used YR24, Y35 and Y23.

I used the coordinating die to cut the out with my Spellbinders Platinum Machine.

Using a piece of Neenah Solar white card stock, I lightly ink blended Antique Linen Distress Oxide ink with a blender brush. Next, I temporarily adhered the Mandala stencil to my card stock with purple. I ink blended some more of the Antique Linen Distress Ink for tone on tone effect.

Next, I applied glimmer paste over my stencil. It gives such amazing sparkle!

Once dry, I trimmed down my panel and attached to a white card base using craft foam for dimension. I then adhere my Peonies onto the front with liquid glue and some foam squares.

I kept the sentiment simple by using one the Sentiment Strips from Simon Says Stamp.

I don’t usually make birthday cards but definitely need them. I already have it planned to send this to my sister towards the end of the month for her birthday. I should actually just send it now because I’m horrible about mailing cards.

Mama Elephant Yeti Scene

Welcome back everyone! I just can’t get over this adorable Yeti from Mama Elephant. My card today is creating a winter night time scene.

I’m using the stamp set Me & My Yeti from Mama Elephant. The first thing I do is create a mask for my moon. I used the Stackable Circles die and Simon Says Stamp Masking paper. I apply my circle mask to a piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock measuring 4″ x 5 1/4″. Next, I ink blend Stormy Sky, Mermaid Lagoon, Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot Distress ink. I build up my color keeping the darkest colors to the outside. Then I remove the mask and lightly go over the moon with Stormy Sky Distress Ink. To finish off the sky, I flick on some white paint with a paint brush for a snowy sky effect and spritz with Shimmer Spritz.
My images are stamped onto Neenah White carstock with MFT Extreme Black Ink then colored with copic markers. I like using the stippling technique for this which means I’m just adding dots to add color to my image. This also gives the look of texture and I think is a really fun look!
I also stamped the banner from Sentiments From a Yeti stamp set and used the coordinating die to cut it out. I added a hill to my sky background using a Stitched Hillside Die and White Glitter cardstock.  I tucked my trees behind the hill and added my Yeti to the front with foam tape. I layered my panel with white cardstock and added to a cardbase I created with Blue Denim Cardstock. For a little more sparkle, I added a Nuvo Shimmer Pen to the stars and then covered the stars with Crystalline Drops from Gina K Designs.
How sweet is it with the Yeti holding that banner?!

A Beary Christmas – Mama Elephant

Welcome back everyone! I figure the best way for me to use the stamps I have is to combine them!
Today’s card is featuring lots of cuteness from Mama Elephant. I totally admit that I’m a stamp hoarder. I have tons of stamps that I have intentions of coloring up and never do. The best way for me to get them inky and is to combine sets.
This card is featuring A Beary Christmas, Cool Penguins, Yappy Woofmas and Sentiments From a Yeti. I laid out how I wanted my card design to be and then created masks for all of them.
I stamped out my images onto a Neenah Solar White cardstock base and then added my mask on top. when creating a scene using masking, you want to stamp first the one you want in the front and work your way back. Once all the masks were in place I created a background using Mustard Seed, Peacock Feathers and Blueprint Sketch Distress Oxide. Then splattered with water so it looks like it was snowing.
Once my background was done, I removed the masks and colored my images with copic markers.
I added the sentiment from the Sentiments from a Yeti stamp set. To finish off the snowing effect, I used a white gel pen and added speckles all around the sky. For a little sparkle I used a Nuvo Shimmer Pen because wrapping paper has to sparkle!
I hope you enjoyed today’s card. Scenes can be time consuming but so relaxing and fun to create!

Yeti or Not! – Mama Elephant

Welcome back everyone! I have a fun little Christmas scene to share with you today!
Today’s card is using lots of Mama Elephants images! I combined Me and My Yeti with Cool Penguins stamp set. I stamped my images onto Neenah Solar white cardstock 80 lb with copic friendly ink. Then colored in with copic markers. I apologize I did not write down the colors. Sometimes you sit down to play and just get caught up in the moment.
For my background, I die cut some mountains from Stitched Mountain Borders with Fog Cardstock from Simon Says Stamp. I topped the mountains with Pixie Dust Glitter cardstock to add sparkle.  I also used the Stitched Hillside borders die cut from Pixie Dust Glitter cardstock as well for a snow scene. I arranged my die cut pieces onto my cardstock that I ink blended with Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn and Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide.
To finish off the scene, I added this fun star banner from the Sentiments from a Yeti stamp/die set. How super fun in this?! I have been itching to use the Yeti stamp set since it was released and I can’t wait to make more!

The Boo Crew! – Mama Elephant

Welcome back everyone and thank you for stopping by today. I have a fun Halloween card to share using stamps from Mama Elephant.
This stamp set has been begging to be colored up! I created masks for all the images using Inkadinkado Masking Paper. Then stamped my images onto a piece of Neenah white cardstock. I figured out which image I wanted in the front and started with that one first. Then added a mask, and continued stamping.
Once all the images were stamped and masked, I ink blended clouds in using the Mini Cloud Stencil. I used Wilted Violet, Carved Pumpkin and Peeled Paint Distress Oxide.
I could then color in my images using my copic markers. For a little added interest I die cut the Flying Bats die from Simon Says Stamp with Black Glitter cardstock.
Hope you enjoyed today’s inspiration! Thanks for spending time with me
