Mama Elephant Peonies In Bloom

Welcome everyone! I’m just popping in with a quick card to share using this beautiful Peonies In Bloom stamp set from Mama Elephant. I’m also entering this in their Top Card Contest over on Instagram. It’s pushing the deadline a little but I enjoyed coloring up this beauty.

I normally go for bright, bold colors but I really wanted to try this coral combination.

I stamped my images on Neenah Solar White card stock with copic friendly ink. Then colored with copic markers. For the blooms I used R12, R02, and R05. The leaves I colored with YG17, YG07 and YG01 and for the centers I used YR24, Y35 and Y23.

I used the coordinating die to cut the out with my Spellbinders Platinum Machine.

Using a piece of Neenah Solar white card stock, I lightly ink blended Antique Linen Distress Oxide ink with a blender brush. Next, I temporarily adhered the Mandala stencil to my card stock with purple. I ink blended some more of the Antique Linen Distress Ink for tone on tone effect.

Next, I applied glimmer paste over my stencil. It gives such amazing sparkle!

Once dry, I trimmed down my panel and attached to a white card base using craft foam for dimension. I then adhere my Peonies onto the front with liquid glue and some foam squares.

I kept the sentiment simple by using one the Sentiment Strips from Simon Says Stamp.

I don’t usually make birthday cards but definitely need them. I already have it planned to send this to my sister towards the end of the month for her birthday. I should actually just send it now because I’m horrible about mailing cards.
