If you’re looking for a sweet birthday card with plenty of farmyard charm, today’s mini slimline design is sure to make you smile! I’m featuring the adorable new Cow Cuties from Simon Says Stamp to create a fun little party scene that’s full of cheerful details and soft ink blending.
I started by stamping the images from the Cow Cuties stamp set along with a few balloons from the Pawfect Together stamp set onto Hammermill cardstock using an alcohol marker-friendly black ink.
After coloring everything with my alcohol markers, I used the coordinating dies to cut out all of the images with my Intricut machine. I also stamped the sentiments in black ink and die cut those as well so everything was ready to assemble.

For the card base, I die cut two panels using the Mini Slimline Rectangles dies. One serves as the card base while the second creates a clean, layered panel for the scene.
To create the background, I softly ink blended the bottom half of the smaller rectangle with Celery ink to represent the grass and blended SeaFoam ink across the top half for a light, airy sky. This simple background adds just enough color without distracting from the adorable stamped images.
Once the background was complete, it was time to build the scene. I arranged the cows with a pile of hay, a fence, and the colorful party balloons to create a festive farm celebration. Keeping the layout balanced while allowing each element room to shine helps the scene feel playful without becoming overcrowded.
To finish the card, I added the sentiments to the top left and bottom right corners, framing the scene and drawing your eye across the entire design. The mini slimline format provides just the right amount of space for creating a detailed scene while still keeping the card clean and easy to mail.
I hope this project inspires you to create your own farm-themed birthday cards with these adorable new Simon Says Stamp products. Thanks so much for stopping by!
