Hi friends! Today I’m sharing double the dazzle — two winter cards that sparkle, shimmer, and glow using the Dazzle Snowflakes Embossing Folder + Cutting Die Set from Simon Says Stamp. If you’re a snowflake lover (or just love an excuse to add shimmer to a project), this one is going to make you want to run straight to your craft room!
This embossing folder instantly creates a beautifully textured background — think frosty lace, delicate flakes, and winter-magic vibes. What I love is how the pattern fills the entire panel, giving you drama in all the right places. The coordinating die cuts out the largest snowflake so you can pop it up for dimension — and trust me, it is chef’s kiss gorgeous layered.
💡 Tip: Die-cut first and THEN emboss — die-cutting afterward can flatten that yummy texture.
For both cards, I cut the largest snowflake from holographic cardstock (yes, rainbow-reflective snowflake goodness!) and stacked multiple die-cuts so they feel crisp, bold, and dimensional.

For my first design, I went soft and subtle with a light blue ink blend, letting that embossed texture shine through without overpowering it. I love how the faint color catches on the raised snowflake details — it almost looks like frost settling on glass.
To bring on the shimmer (because… always), I splattered the background using Sparkle Splatter, giving it that magical snowy sprinkle. The sentiment is from the EZ Strips Christmas stamp set — heat embossed in white embossing powder on black cardstock, then run through with the EZ Strips Slanted Rectangles Die so it trims perfectly in one easy pass. Instant satisfaction!

Who says snowflakes have to be blue? For the second card, I leaned into something warm and unexpected — a soft salmon blend across the background. It’s wintry… but make it sweet + cozy. That hint of color makes the holographic snowflake truly dance when it hits the light.
Once again, I splattered with Sparkle Splatter because consistency is key (and… glitter). The same EZ Strips sentiment ties the duo together so they feel like a coordinating winter card set — perfect for batch-sending holiday greetings.

This embossing folder + die set is one of those designs where the product does the heavy lifting for you. With just ink, a little sparkle, and a stacked snowflake, you’ve suddenly created cards that look like they belong in a boutique stationery shop.

Whether you go cool-tone blue or playful salmon, there’s no wrong way to add winter magic — just make it dazzling ✨
Thanks for joining me today — I hope this inspires you to grab your favorite embossing folder and try two cards, two ways. Let me know which one you’d send first!
