I am getting my spook on with this Halloween wreath I created from the Tim Holtz/Sizzix From The Vault collection!!
Simon Says Stamp gifted me these products to play with and I am finally sitting down to play and boy did I love pulling out my creepy side for these! I love creating Halloween cards and Tim Holtz always hits a home run with his products, especially for Halloween.
I already had intentions to play with this set and then I saw a card by Caly Person where she did a Halloween Wreath. It knocked my socks clear off! So this card is inspired by Caly but the vibe of my card is in a completely different direction then hers. As Tim says … “You do You” and I did!

For my card, I started with the background. I ink smooshed the following colors of Distress Oxide onto watercolor cardstock
I made sure to dry between each layer.
Then I went around the edges by ink blending Black Soot Distress Ink.
I spritzed on Wilted Violet and Weathered Wood Distress Spritz for a little shimmer. It’s hard to see in the pictures but it’s super cool in person.
After spritzing, I added splatters of White and Black ink.
Next, I have all my die cuts. I didn’t realize it at the time but I used a little bit from each set. I just sat down and did a bunch of die cutting. Then layered it together to create my little scene. Some of the pieces I die cut from a dark Gray cardstock and layered it over Black to give it a little shadow.
Completely creepy right?! oh my gosh I love it! Even the hubby loved it but I’m not entirely surprised because he’s just as crazy as I am lol …
