Hello crafty friends! I’m so excited to be joining Pinkfresh Studio in a blog hop today sharing inspiration with their new release.
I love that Pinkfresh is coming out with Press Plates now. Press Plates allow us to create a letterpress impression in our cardstock either with just the plate itself or by inking it up. You can also use the Press Plates for hot foiling and in my opinion, give better results then the hot foil plates.
Today, I’m just using the plate to create a letterpress impression into my card.
My card features the Delighted For You Press Plate, Stencil and coordinating die.
Using my Betterpress Letterpress System, I inked up the press plate with Betterpress Black Ink and created the impression by running through my Spellbinders Platinum 6. I like to use A7 Porcelain Betterpress card panels.
Then I used the coordinating stencil and blending brushes to add color. I created a gradient of color throughout the floral arrangement. The colors I used are
I used the coordinating die to cut out my image and sentiment.
For the background, I lightly ink blended starting from one corner and working my way over to the other corner using Peony, Begonia and Peach Fuzz.
Then I added splatters of White and Black Ink.
I created a frame using the Nested Hexagons to anchor my image and overlapped the frame using foam squares behind the floral arrangement.
For a bit of sparkle, I added some Champagne Glitter Drops.
