Hey friends! Today I’m sharing a clean and simple silhouette card. We don’t always have to blend a bunch of different colors for our background. Sometimes we just need one color or one shade.

My card is featuring the new Trio of Pawsitively Saturated ink from Simon Says Stamp. It has these beautiful rich blues in it and I used them to create a transition down the front of the card.

I masked off the front of my card panel using the Masking Rectangles Stencil. Then ink blended with my blending brush starting from the top with the darkest color and working my way down to the lightest.

I removed the masking stencil and stamped an image from the Celestial Wishes stamp set using Versafine Ink. I also added a sentiment from the Celebrating You stamp to turn this into a birthday card.

Simply finish off the card with some Dusk embellishments and we have an “almost” one layer card. So simple and yet so striking.
