Cards Embossing Folders Mixed Media Simon Says Stamp

Simon Says Stamp Celebrate Release!

Hello friends! It’s time for another amazing release from Simon Says Stamp! It’s time to CELEBRATE!

The first card I’m kicking off with features a lovely new embossing folder and word die.

I started by stamping the Friendship Text Background stamp onto Hammermill cardstock using Archival Ink.

Then I ran that cardstock through my die cut machine using the Chelsea Floral Embossing Folder. You are going to see another card I created using this embossing folder later this month and you are not going to believe it’s the same folder!

After embossing the design, I went over the background using a blending brush and Trio 23 of the Pawsitively Saturated Inks.

Don’t forget the splatter! This was created with a white gold from the Starry Colors set.

I love the look of the 3D embossing folders and all the different levels of dimension it provides.

Next I created a frame using the A2 Nesting Frames. I die cut a couple pieces from white cardstock and one from Matte Gold cardstock. Then layered together with liquid glue to create the dimension.

The sentiment is also brand new and it is the Just A Note 2 Wafer Die. Again it is die cut from white and Matte Gold carstock but this time I added a shadow layer created from vellum. This helps separate it from the background a bit.

A very mixed media type of look but yet so elegant, don’t ya think?

Be sure to come back because I’ll have more to share using this release very very soon.

Thanks for stopping in!
