I love this, Mindy! I think it worked out great and I would have decorated that empty panel where you were first planning to put the gift card with more birds. But it looks fine as is. Be sure to let us know later if your daughter realized the card was there right away or not.
By the way, the pun that was right on the tip of my tongue when you were coloring in the birds (I think you used “just going with it”) was that you were (in Gina K’s vernacular) “winging it.” LOL.
