Quick & Easy Backgrounds

Hey friends! I’m taking a small break from STAMPtember Exclusives to share a card I made using an embossing folder. Embossing folders add great detail to your cards and are so quick and easy to use!

The folder I’m using today is the Wild Berry Wreath from Simon Says Stamp. I embossed the design onto Hammermill cardstock using my Spellbinders Platinum 6 die cut machine.

Next, I went over the embossed areas with a blending brush. The raised areas will catch more ink the the debossed areas, making the color stand out more. I used Limelicious and Pearfection inks.

I added splatters to the background for some additional interest (sorry forgot what I splattered with! lol)

Then for the sentiment, I’m using the Elegantly Modern Christmas Hot Foil Plate. There is also a stamp set available but I love the look of foiling!

I foiled the sentiment in Gold Glimmer Foil and die cut out with the coordinating die.

I needed something else to just POP off the card so I added a smaller sentiment from the Sentiment Strips Reverse Typed Christmas, trimming out with my mini trimmer.

Then added Cherry Red Pearls to where berries would be.

This would be a pretty easy card to mass produce and you could have some fun with it and change up colors.

Thanks for stopping in!
