Hey friends! I’m over on the Hero Arts blog with a card to share where I am using my gel plate to create subtle backgrounds. Down below I will go over the main supplies used.

I have a video that you can view down below or HERE on my Youtube channel.

To create the background I’m using Azalea, Dandelion and Paradise ink with a rubber brayer and my gel plate.

After brayering the ink to blend it, I stamp the Waves Pattern Bold Print into the ink. This leaves the softest impression. So really you are taking a busy background and toning it down.

For the sentiment, I used the Luggage Tag Alphabet Frame Cuts to spell out the word SUMMER and paired it with a sentiment from the Let’s Celebrate stamp set.

I added a couple images to the bottom of the card using the Sea Creates die set.

You can see in these close up shots, how soft this background is and such a summery vibe!

Hope you enjoyed today’s inspiration!
