Simon Says Stamp Out Of This World Blog Hop Day 2

Hello crafty friends! I’m so excited to be joining Simon Says Stamp in Day 2 of their Out Of This World Blog Hop! So many fun and amazing new products!

First, let’s take about this amazing FREE gift shown above. You can receive a set of Distress Crayons for FREE with the code GALAXY! Valid only util 6/25 at 11:59 pm ET or white supplies last.

I’m using the Mid Century Ethereal cover die for my card project.

I started by die cutting it multiple times from white cardstock and layering them together for dimension using liquid glue.

For the background, I decided to pull out one of my paper pads that I hoard. This one is from the Craft Consortium Ink Drops Candy paper pack. It is so hard using one of these paper pads because they are so gorgeous but I love the look behind this panel.

For the sentiment, I stamped Birthday Wishes from the Big Old Birthday stamp set and used the coordinating die to cut it out.

Quite simple of a card to put together but wow! Those designs with that background are just so cool!

I recognized the background paper on this card right away and I have to agree that all these inky affects papers from Craft Consortium are so hard to use because they are so beautiful. I really love how it works with this die. This die is a little unconventional for me, but looks so art deco, which fascinates me. The simplicity of this card is so appealing and I will have to get the die. The papers I have!!! And Memory Box dies always release so nice without much work, making multiple cards so pleasurable. Thanks for this inspiration!

I recognized the background paper right away! I just love the inky effects papers from Craft Consortium and have the same problem with using them as they are so pretty. This papers will definitely increase the WOW factor of any project. This die is unconventional for me, but reminds me of art deco which I adore so is going to be a must in my cart after seeing it used with this card! Can see using it to cut from the background paper and using the cut out pieces for a reverse image card! Thanks for your inspiration!

Amazing way to use your die cut and pattern paper together.

  50. Ivea says:

Wow, LOVE this card! Did you use lighter cardstock, so it stacks up easier? I think 110lb cardstock is hard to get a clean cut from a die, at least my experience with that weight paper. I like the hefty dimension to the front panel, really adds to the wow factor. Thank you for teaching me something new, but I hope you will comment on my question. Much obliged.

    1. This was 100lb cardstock
