Top 3 Tools When Working With Die Cuts

Hello crafty friends and happy weekend! Today I’m sharing my top 3 tools that I use when working with die cuts, in particular, small die cuts.

I have a video that you can view down below or HERE on my Youtube channel.

For my card today, I’m using this amazing new Lovely Layers Lures die set. I love this new release from Honey Bee Stamps because my husband loves fishing and this is right up his ally!

I die cut the lures from various colors of cardstock that I pulled from my stash.

Be sure to check out the VIDEO for my TOP 3 Tools!

The background I created using the Fish Net Background Stencil. I ink blended Brushed Corduroy and Walnut Stain Distress Oxide inks.

Then added splatters of water, ink and white paint.

The sentiment comes from the Hooked On You stamp set and cut out with the coordinating die.

I know my husband is going to get a kick out of this ! Can’t wait to play with more from this release.

This video is a part of a Youtube Hop so be sure to check out the video for more information about the giveaway and how you can enter.

Thanks for stopping by and have a fantastic weekend !

  1. Mindy, I love how you created the net background. Yes, the lures add tons of flare to the card. Great job. ❤

  2. I fell in love with this new release as soon as I saw it. I come from a large family, many of whom like to fish, hike, etc., so this release was perfect, as is your card. I like the way you colored you background using the net stencil and your lures are fantastic. I agree that using the body of the lure instead of the hooks was the best to align them with the margin. Great job! Thanks for the helpful video!
