Welcome friends! It’s an exciting day today! The new Hero Arts Summer 2023 catalog products are now available for purchase and I have loads of inspiration to share!
I saw down one day and created a bunch of backgrounds using my rubber brayer and a gel plate. It creates the smoothest backgrounds.
After the backgrounds were completely dry, I foiled this first card using the Magnolia Branches Hot Foil Plate using Champagne Glimmer Foil
I trimmed out the center using the Rectangle Infinity Die and popped up this panel using foam tape.
I added the butterfly using the Delicate Butterfly Fancy die cut from Black Glitter cardstock.
The sentiment comes from the Encouragement Sentiment set that I heat embossed onto Black cardstock using White embossing powder.
This next card has a softer look to it. Once again I foiled the Magnolia Branches Hot Foil plate but this time die cut it out with the Ovals.
I popped the Oval up using foam tape and added a sentiment from the Peace Words Fancy die and Encouragement Sentiments.
This next card was actually a piece of cardstock that I was using to rub off extra ink from my brayer. I thought it looked cool for a mixed media background.
I stamped the Rough Dot Bold Print over the top and then flicked on Gold Glimmer Metallic Ink.
I added the die cut images from the Collage Window and sentiment from the Encouragement Sentiment stamp set.
This is another card I created using the same technique as above with the Rough Dots background but die cutting from the Hexagon Infinity Die.
I decorated the shape with the Build A Flower Fancy Die.

Mindy, those cards are really beautiful. I love the foiling over the gel printed backgrounds. I have several similar backgrounds that just seemed to need something, I think foiling is the answer. Thank you for the inspiration!
