Hi friends! Today I wanted to pop in and share a card that may be not so traditional for a Christmas card. Plus, I’m using a really cool stencil that is great all year round and for any occasion.

I have a video that you can view down below or HERE on my Youtube channel.
Maybe you have someone in your life that just isn’t into all the bells, whistles and glitter for Christmas but you still want to send them a card. The Holiday Horizon stencil is perfect for them!
I believe this stencil was intended to create Christmas scenes but it works perfect for a nice outdoorsy scene.

I used the Holiday Horizons stencil with the following inks from Simon Says Stamp:
The stencil is an all-in-one meaning not only can you create the skies but you can mask off those areas to build up a one layer scene.

Any sentiment would work for the front of this card. A birthday sentiment would probably have made more sense lol… but I had my Christmas stamps out so that is what I went with.
After trimming the panel down to 3 1/2″ x 4 3/4″, I stamped a sentiment from Holiday Greens in Nocturne ink.
Then added to a card front using foam tape.

So simple! Almost too simple actually.
If you struggle with making cards for guys, this stencil would be perfect!
