Intricate Die Cutting Tip:Simon Says Stamp Holiday Sparkle Release

Welcome friends! It’s release day with Simon Says Stamp and the Holiday Sparkle release filled with tons of amazing new products.

Today I’m going to show you a little trick for die cutting those very detailed and intricate dies.

I’ll be using the brand new Amelia Snowflake which I absolutely love.

VIDEO

I have a video that you can view down below or HERE on my Youtube channel.

I have a soft spot for snowflakes when it comes to my Christmas cards especially die cut from beautiful foil cardstock. I used the Amelia Snowflake with Silver and Rose Gold and if you have never die cut your snowflakes from Rose Gold you are missing out!

The snowflakes are the star of the show tonight so I created a simple ink blended background.

I used Simon Says Stamp Cheeky and Blush ink with a blending brush.

Next, I flicked of a variety of inks including Gold Glimmer Metallic Ink, Rose Gold Glimmer Metallink Ink and Copic White Ink.

I’m using the Gina K Designs Connect Glue in a fine tip bottle to adhere my snowflakes to the front of the cardstock. These bottles are great for delicate pieces.

For the greeting, I’m using one of my favorite sets. This is the Christmas Blessings stamp set and coordinating die. I have used it many times so far this year. I’m really drawn to the coordinating dies for all the sentiments.

I finished it off with Champagne Glitter Drops in the center of the snowflakes and Gilded Sequins around the die cuts.

Hope you enjoyed today’s inspiration!

I’ll be back soon with more!

This is super-beautiful, Mindy! Love the non-traditional colors for the “snow.” I am loving this particular snowflake, too. I feel about snowflakes as you do about penguins, apparently… according to an earlier post from this week.
