Die Cut In-lay and Shaker Card

Hey friends! I’m back with inspiration to share using products from the Gina K Designs release.

This is actually one of those two-fers, so more bang for our buck!

I have a video tutorial that you can check out down below or HERE on my Youtube channel.

I’m using the Christmas Tree Cover Plate die. Cover dies are awesome because you can do so much with them.

For this first card, I die cut it from Heavy White, Fresh Asparagus and Key Lime cardstock.

Then I die cut in lay my pieces.

The sentiment comes from the Blizzard stamp set which included in the Holiday Cheer Card Kit. I love that there are coordinating dies for the sentiments.

Next, I took the Key Lime cardstock that I had previously die cut from and created a shaker card.

I thought about adding foam tape to the back like I normally would but figured it would be a little tricky judging by the shape of the window

So instead, I die cut multiple panels from Heavy White cardstock, trimmed out the center and layered together to create the well.

Once again, I used a sentiment from the Blizzard stamp set.

The pearls are a perfect fit to go over those ornaments on the tree!

Hope you enjoyed today’s card inspiration! I’ll be sharing more with the other plates that were released.

  2. Hi, Mindy – Happy to report that I already ordered from Gina’s new items. Your cards are pretty! Thanks for showing how you cut the garland off the layered trees to allow the shaker bits to circulate more easily… that’s important!
    Have a great weekend!
