Cards Simon Says Stamp

Simon Says Stamp Dream Big Release Blog Hop Day 2

Hey everyone! I’m so glad you are joining me today! I’m excited to a part of the Simon Says Stamp Dream Big Release Blog Hop. Today is Day 2 of inspiration!

I’m sharing a card using the Ice Cream Scoop and Cone wafer die.

Let’s start with the background shall we?

On Neenah Solar White 80lb cardstock, I ink blended the Polka Dot Bubble Party stencil using Carnation, Lemonade and Surf Pawsitively Saturated Inks using a blending brush.

After removing the stencil, I lightly went back over those areas.

I cleaned the stencil and lined it back up, then applied Cosmic Shimmer Icicle Blue Sparkle Paste (which it appears is no longer available so I’ll link something similar) using a palette knife.

While the background was drying, I created my cones using scraps of cardstock I had.

Don’t they look good enough to eat?!

After the background is dry, I trimmed it down to 3 1/2″ x 4 3/4″ and added to a hot pink A2 panel.

Next I added the ice cream cones with a glue tube.

I used a small sentiment from the Reverse Be You that I trimmed down and added with the NEW black foam squares.

After everything was attached, I went over parts of the ice cream with a sparkle glaze.

This card just screams summer!

Hope you enjoyed today’s inspiration.

Don’t forget this is Day 2 which means there is a Day 1 filled with even more inspiration!
