Hello friends! I’m back today with another card video featuring the Lovely Layering Peony die set from Honey Bee Stamps.
I’m a huge fan of the layering die sets. They create the most beautiful designs and are pretty easy to assemble.

I have a video that you can view down below or HERE on my Youtube channel.
For today’s layering peony, I’m going to do minimalistic ink blending. I wanted to add color to my peony but not let that color take over the image.
This is actually very similar to one of my peony bushes.

The image is die cut from 80 lb white cardstock. I like this lighter weight because as we add the layers together, it’s going to build up dimension.
I’m using a small blending tool to do my ink blending today. I recommend something small so you have more control over the amount of ink you are applying.

For the very tips of my flowers, I’m blending on Picked Raspberry distress oxide ink and for the leaves I’m using Twisted Citron.
I die cut out a frame from matte gold cardstock using the Stacking Art Deco Labels.
I’m also using some double sided foam from Honey Bee Stamps to add a bit of dimension behind my panel.

I die cut the word BIG from matte gold cardstock and stamped a sentiment in black all using the Big Buzzword stamp and die set.

I added everything to a card front created using Turquoise Sea cardstock.

I love all of the detail on the Lovely Layers Peony.
Hope you enjoyed today’s inspiration!
