Hello friends! Today I’m sharing a card where I created a faux weathered wood background and it came out pretty realistic!
VIDEO
I have a video that you can view down below or HERE on my Youtube channel.
I explain the entire process in my video so down below I will list the main supplies used.

For this technique I’m using the Honeybee Stamp Wood Frame Builder die. This creates planks of wood that leave detailed etching in the cardstock.
To create the weathered wood look I’m using Vintage Photo and Weathered Wood Distress Oxide inks.

I die cut flowers using the Whimsical Spring Flowers set and added color using Picked Raspberry, Mustard Seed and Spiced Marmalade using mini blending brushes. I added color to the leaves using Twisted Citron, Lucky Clover and Tarnished Brass Distress Spray Stain.
I completed the card with a simple sentiment stamped in black using the Thinking of You Big Time stamp set added to a Stacking Art Deco Label cut from white cardstock.

Love how realistic this looks! You could create this look by using this technique on just cardstock but by using the Wood Frame Builder die, you get those amazing details that the ink falls into.
