Hello friends! I”m excited to be joining Simon Says Stamp this month in a blog hop celebrating their latest release! So many amazing products! I already placed my order!
Today, let’s talk about cards that almost didn’t happen. What I mean is, a card you started, wasn’t happy with how it was going but you pushed through and ended up with a beautiful card. Has that happened to you? Well, that’s what my card today is all about.
VIDEO
I have a video walking you through the process of my card that you can view down below or HERE on my Youtube channel.
My card features the new Daisies and Leaves stencil which is very delicate. This is one I would definitely recommend using Pixie Spray on to help adhere it to the card.

When we are working on cards, sometimes we have to push through one phase of it to get to the good part. When I first started ink blended, I wasn’t happy with my results.
But after I trimmed the panel down, I found that sweet spot.

I love the thick white border that I have which I think really makes the blended panel pop.
I finished it off by simply stamping a sentiment from Mom’s Spring Flowers to center with Versafine ink.

Gorgeous Mindy!
Hi, M – I think you are too hard on yourself, but I get it. We’ve all had that happen. We think it’s “meh” but others say “fab!” or “pretty!” and we remain unconvinced. I think it’s a lovely card!!

Gorgeous card. Love this stencil!
I love that you choose to use blue for your daisies. I feel like there is always a strong lean toward yellow or pink, but for me the crazy color daisies are always the most fun.
Love the card and the way you blended the colors. I’m really starting to love the green and blue together.
Beautiful birthday card, Mindy!

beautiful card and beautiful colors.
You ask if I have ever started a card, decided I wasn’t “feeling” it, and tossed it — yes, more times than I can count. However, I don’t toss it — I have an ever-growing folder labeled “fails” (I’m really cheap!). Your card turned out beautifully. You’ve inspired me.

Sometimes my favorite part of the process is letting the card show you what it wants to become. This was a great example of that! Love the card.
I agree, Mindy. I think every crafter has ‘hit the wall’ when creating in one form or another. So glad you choose to push through. The outcome is stunning!

Beautiful card, Mindy. I love that daisy stencil and the colors you chose for your card. That was a good tip on trimming down a card to leave more white space around your inked panel.
