Spotlight Ink Blending

Hello friends! I have some inspiration to share by doing some spotlight ink blending.

I’ll be using the gorgeous Daffodils background stamp from Simon Says Stamp. We’ve been having such beautiful weather lately it’s really putting me in a Spring mood!

I started by stamping the Daffodils in embossing ink onto white cardstock and heat embossing with clear embossing powder.

I placed my Circle Masks Stencil over the embossed cardstock and ink blended Carnation and Sunbeam Pawsitively Saturated Inks using blending brushes. I’ve been trying out the Simon Says Stamp Magnetic Glass Mat for my stencils lately and loving it! It’s a perfect size for my work surface, white so I can see my ink, magnetic so I can use magnets to hold my stencil and easy to clean off.

After ink blending, I’ll wipe away the excess ink that the heat embossing resisted. Then trimmed the panel down with the Waffle Flower A2 Layering dies.

I added a double sided foam panel behind my blended piece and attached to a card front made from Sunflower cardstock.

The sentiment is from the Besties stamp set. I stamped it in Intense Black ink and die cut it out with the coordinating die. (I apologize I cannot find the coordinating die available at this time to link up).

I also added a smaller sentiment from one of the Reverse Sentiment strips and popped p with black foam squares.

I finished off the card with a few jewels attached with connect glue.

I hope you enjoyed today’s card project and it puts you in a Spring mood like me !
