VIDEO: A New Take On Ink Smooshing with Distress Oxides

Hi friends! Today we are going to be doing some ink smooshing with distress oxide inks.

Normally, when I do ink smooshing I use more vibrant colors and it creates more of a dramatic card. Today, I’m creating a soft background in which I’ll turn into an elegant card. Let’s get started!

VIDEO

I have a video that you can view down below or HERE on my Youtube channel.

I provide full instructions in my video so below I will briefly talk about the supplies used. Please refer to the video HERE for more details.

The colors I’m using today are Salvaged Patina and Rustic Wilderness Distress Oxide inks.

Layering your ink smooshing is one of the keys to getting a good distressed background.

To dress up the card, I’m using the Lovely Layers Heart Vine die cut from white cardstock and vellum.

Be sure to watch the VIDEO on my tips to adhering the vellum.

I’m pairing this with the You Buzzword Honey Cut and Stamp Set.

I finished off this card using beautiful gem stickers from the Raw Honey collection.

Thanks for stopping by!
