Lawn Fawn’s November 2021 Inspiration Week: Snowflake Background Stencils and Stitched Snowflake Backdrop

Welcome everyone! It’s Lawn Fawn’s November 2021 Inspiration week! I have a ton of inspiration to share with you featuring the latest release which is now available for purchase over at Lawn Fawn.

Today we are sharing inspiration using the Snowflake Backgrounds Stencils and Stitched Snowflake Backdrop.

First up is the Snowflake Backgrounds Stencils. You know I love my stencils!

I have a background I created by ink blending Salvaged Patina, Shaded Lilac and Wilted Violet Distress Oxides. I added both layers of the Snowflake Stencils with Yeti pigment ink but before removing the last layer of the stencil, I went over it with Pearl paste.

To create my little winter scene, I used images from Yeti or Not, Penguin Party, Say What Christmas Critters, and the Stitched Hillside.

I added a custom sentiment by using Cole’s ABCs die cut from white shimmer cardstock and popped up each letter with foam squares.

I’ve used the Stitched Snowflake Backdrop many times because it’s just perfect for adding some subtle interest to backgrounds.

Here I have a soft winter scene using these cute little bears from Snow Much Fun and Den Sweet Den.

I used the Stitched Snowflake Backdrop with Ballet Slippers cardstock.

Once again, I created a custom sentiment by stamping part of a sentiment in Black Licorice ink right onto the stitched backdrop and die cut letters from Cole’s ABCs. I lightly ink blended the bottom of the letters with Merman ink.

You see me using that alphabet a lot because the letters are so skinny.

Hope you enjoyed today’s inspiration!

  1. These are superb, Mindy!! I love both… I probably like the Yeti one a bit more b/c I am partial to that blue background, but I like them both. I don’t have the Yeti stamp set. Maybe I need to order it the next time there is a 15% off sale at LF. Love your work and especially your LF cards!!

Love these two cards. I think my favorite is the bears. The background is perfect and the family is too cute. Thanks for sharing.
