Simon Says Stamp Rainbow Release Blog Hop Day 2

Welcome everyone ! I’m so excited to be joining Simon Says Stamp in their blog hop this month celebrating their latest release!

I have a card to share with you featuring a new line of stamps to Simon’s website from Clever Girl Craftings. This stamp set is called Beach Beauties. These are some super fun and adorable images!

I really wanted to venture out into coloring different skin tones so after stamping the image in Obsidian Ink, I colored this image with copic markers.

I apologize the legs look a little “off” and it’s because I colored the face twice but forgot to go back over the legs so they appear a little lighter.

I also colored in the umbrella from the Seas and Greetings stamp set.

The background was created by ink blending Antique Linen and Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide Ink. Then I trimmed the panel down to 3 1/2″ x 4 3/4″ and stamped a sentiment from the Beach Beauties stamp set. I added the panel to an A2 size card base with foam tape for dimension.

I seriously adore the hair and this girl (and secretly wish I could do mine like that!)

Hope you enjoyed today’s inspiration! If you are not familiar with the Clever Girl Craftings line, I highly recommend checking them out.

We are our own worst critics. Doubt
anyone would have noticed the lighter
legs – more light could be causing
the lightness, not the artist not
    doing more shading. Great card.
    thanks for sharing

Your blended background is perfect for these Beach Beauties cuties, and I loved your coloring all the beads in her hair, too. Anxiously waiting for my next SSS package to arrive with this set included in it. These cards are going to be so fun to make!
