Today I’ll be sharing how to do the Die Cut Inlay Technique with a background created with ink blending and embossing.
I have a video that you can view down below or HERE on my Youtube channel.
It’s always fun when you can get 2 cards from one technique which is what we will be doing today.
The weather is warming up a little and I am ready for Spring so I dug out some pastel colors to ink blend a background. I’m using Kitsch Flamingo, Squeezed Lemonade, Cracked Pistachio and Broken China Distress Inks and ink blending on layering white cardstock. When you are ink blending, you want to use a super smooth cardstock and this cardstock from Gina K Designs is perfect for that !
Then I’ll attach foam squares behind each die cut piece and add to an A2 size piece of white cardstock. I can peel back the frame and this will give me another piece I can use for a card.
I’m going to keep the front of the card quite simple and just add the Spring honey cut that I die cut from Gold foil cardstock.
I forgot to take pictures but I stamped a sentiment to the inside of the both cards using the Spring Joy Bouquet stamp set. I did include this part in the video if you want to see how it looks.
Be sure to check out the video for more details!
