Magic Iris Snow Globe : Not Just for Christmas

Hi Guys ! Today I have a fun card to share using the Lawn Fawn Magic Iris Snow Globe Add On. I fell in love with this when it came out and I want to use it all year long. So today I’m showing you snow globes are NOT just for Christmas.

When we went to different places like a zoo, we collected souvenirs and one of them was a snow globe with tiny zoo animals in it. So I took another look at my Magic Iris Snow Globe die and came up with a rainbow theme! Because …. well… why not a rainbow?

I have a complete card tutorial that you can view down below or HERE on my Youtube channel.

I used a few different products to set the scene including the Clouds stencils in which I used Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide inks.

I also added some colorful stars using the Starry Sky Stencil and a rainbow of colors from Lawn Fawn including Bubblegum, Peach Fuzz, Sunflower, Celery Stick, and Merman ink.

A last minute thought I had while creating the Magic Iris was to ink blend a rainbow around the edges and I’m so glad I did! I used the same colors and was able to squeeze in Grape Jelly.

The base of the snow globe was created with woodgrain cardstock and I added some contrast using the Walnut Ink from Lawn Fawn. The edges of the snow globe are created with Holographic cardstock because let’s just bring out all the sparkle and shine on this one.

Rainbows and unicorns just go hand-in-hand so I colored up on of the unicorns from the Unicorn Picnic stamp set and also added a few clouds from All The Clouds.

I have a border at the border made from white cardstock and the Stitched Cloud Border where I also stamped a sentiment from the All The Clouds stamp set.

How fun right?! Just imagine all the different fun snow globes you could make and it doesn’t have to be Christmas related. A whole new world just opened up!
