Cards Hero Arts

Countdown to My Monthly Hero

Yipee!! It’s time for the countdown to the February 2021 My Monthly Hero kit and you will NOT be disappointed! Let’s just say I kind of want to jump into this card lol… and this is only the start!

Take a look at my card for you today… are you seeing them theme?

To create this card, I stamped some of the images from the kit in Hero Arts Intensified Black ink, colored with copic markers and cut out with the coordinating dies.

For my scene, I ink blended Taffy, Berry Smoothie Reactive Inks, for the water I blended Pool Party and Blue Raspberry and for the sandy beach I blended Soft Brown and Cup O’ Joe. I masked off each section using post it tape.

I created a window for my scene but die cutting a circle from a piece of black card stock and attaching to my blended panel with a tape runner. You could easily add foam tape and create a shaker card (which I might do on another card)

After attaching my images to the inside of my window, I lined my panel up into my Misti and stamped this sentiment.

Raise your hand if you want to go to a beach right now? ***raises hand wildly!***

You could also use the “Sand” EP for the beach if you like a bit of texture. And doesn’t HA have an EP that has sea blue & white? That EP is in my stash, but I can’t recall the name off-hand. 😜
