Tombow Markers for Blending with MFT

Welcome everyone! Today I’m sharing how I used my Tombow Markers to create a beautiful smooth blend for my die cut piece using the Heart Rays Die from My Favorite Things.

I have a video over on the MFT youtube channel that you can check out down below or HERE on my Youtube channel.

Tombow makers are a great, fairly inexpensive coloring medium that I love using to create backgrounds. They are also great to create smooth blends for die cut pieces.

On Fabriano Artistico Extra White paper I scribbled on 565 (Blue), 606 (Purple), 847 (Red), and 803 (Pink).

Then I used a flat paint brush dipped in water to spread the color around.

You’ll have to catch the video for how I added Cosmic Shimmer paste using the Love Is In The Air stencil to the die cut piece. Super easy trick!

For my background panel, I lightly ink blended Spun Sugar Distress Oxide with a blending brush and flicked on some Starry Colors with a small paint brush.

I finished off the card with a sentiment from the Bitty Hugs & Kisses stamp set. I heat embossed the sentiment in white embossing power onto black card stock and trimmed down to a thin strip with my paper trimmer.
