Cards Christmas Gina K Designs

Winter Cheer with Gina K Designs

Welcome everyone! Today I’m sharing some inspiration using the Winter Cheer set from Gina K Designs. This has been sitting on my shelf begging to be inked up. What attracted me to this set was this adorable penguin. I stamped the penguin onto white card stock numerous times with Obsidian ink. Then using my copic markers I colored in the hat and added a little shading to the belly and beaks. The banner is stamped in Red Velvet ink. There is also a coordinating die which I used to die cut out my images with my Spellbinders Platinum 6 machine.

I’m going to be using Red Velvet for my card stock base. I die cut a few of the snowflakes from the Snowflake Trio die set from Red Velvet card stock as well. I added the snowflakes to my card base using Connect glue and I love how this tone on tone makes it looks like the snowflakes are embossed. I did not come up with this trick on my own. I picked up from my fellow crafty friend Debi Adams.

Once the snowflakes are attached I added my penguins and banner using a dot runner and foam squares.

Very clean and simple but using the Red Velvet card stock really packs a punch.

Gina is also having a sale right now! Valid until 12/10/20 so don’t hesitate!

  1. Cute! And thx for the reminder about the sale. Things are probably pretty picked over, but I will take a look.

What greeting did you use for the inside of the card? Such a sweet card..

    1. I typically don’t put greetings inside my cards until I’m ready to send them out
