Welcome everyone! Today is Day 2 of the Gina K Designs blog hop celebrating the August 2020 release. We have 3 days filled with inspiration and a giveaway so be sure to stick around. If you missed Day 1, you can check it out HERE.
I get asked quite often about my watercoloring with Zig Markers so today I have a special video for you!
VIDEO
In my video today, I will be sharing my top tips on watercoloring using Zig Clean Clear Real Brush Markers. You can view the video down below or HERE on my Youtube channel.
CARD DETAILS
My paper of choice when watercoloring with Zig Markers is the Fabriano Artistico Extra White. I get mine on a 5″ x 7″ block. I like this paper because it is meant for watercoloring and will hold up nicely if I want to add layers of color which is what I did today.

The colors I’m using today are as follows:
- No. 021 Light Carmine
- No. 025 Pink
- No. 082 Purple
- No. 046 Mid Green
- No. 400 Marine Green
- No. 094 Gray Brown
My image is from the gorgeous new Delightful Blooms stamp set. I heat embossed it in Champagne Embossing Powder onto the Frabriano Watercolor Paper.
Once dry, I die cut out the image using the new Master Layouts 2 and attached to a white card front. The sentiment comes from the Delightful Blooms stamp set as well.

Here is another card I created off camera using the same Delightful Blooms stamp set.

Another stamp set we are featuring today is the Welcome Home set. I love these cute little birdhouses. This time I have mine hanging in a branch. I added some clouds from the Nature’s Element Stencil with White Pigment ink to a piece of Powder Blue card stock die cut using the Master Layout 2.

The sentiment is stamped in Obsidian ink from the Flower Child stamp set which is found in the Peace, Love and Sushi kit. If you haven’t picked up your kit yet, you might want to hurry! They are getting low!

Love the delightful bloom
Wow! Thanks for the video – that card turned out terrific! I felt a bit like one of those cartoon wolves or cats… you know the ones… like the cats on Tom & Jerry when they see the female cat and their eyes race out to 5′ in front of their heads. I was just bowled over by how pretty you made your tableaux w/ Arjita’s stamps, both of them. Gorgeous!! But the birdhouse stamp was no slouch either! Not by any means. I love how branch and birdhouse come to life by being cut out and brought alive via dimension. Thanks for showing me what the powder blue cardstock looks like, too.
