Altenew Glimmer Paste Stencils

Altenew July 2020 Stencils/Enamel Dots/Creative Cutouts/Decals Release Blog Hop & Giveaway

Welcome everyone! I’m excited to be a part of the blog hop with Altenew celebrating their newest release. I had a lot of inky fun so I have lots of pictures to share!

One of my favorite new products is the Feathery Stencil. Since there are some fine areas, I made to spray the back of my stencil with Pixie Spray. This is a low tack adhesive that will help keep my stencil in place while I ink blend.

My first card I ink blended a rainbow of colors from Altenew including Coral Berry, Orange Cream, Sunray, Firefly, Aqualicious and Lavender Fields using a blending brush.

I heat embossed a sentiment from the Bright Blossoms stamp set onto Black cardstock with White embossing powder. Then trimmed it down to a thin strip and added to my card front with foam squares.

Altenew is also releasing these fun Enamel Dots in a variety of colors. I added some from the Shades of Purple and Warm & Cozy collection. They already have adhesive on the back so you can just add them directly to your projects.

I have another card using the Feathery Stencil but this time including with Autumn Blaze, Sunray and Sunkissed inks. I started light in the middle and got darker as I worked my way towards the outside edges of the card.

For the sentiment, I die cut the Fancy For You from Holographic cardstock. I also die cut the sentiment 3 more times from white cardstock and layered together with liquid glue to add dimension.

It’s quite subtle but I added some enamel dots from the Warm & Cozy collection around my sentiment. This just adds a bit of interest to the card.

Now I’m coming in with the Geometric stencil. For this card I ink blended Aqualicious, Sunray and Coral Berry inks. While still in place on my cardstock, I wiped the stencil down and then added Moonstone Glimmer Paste over the top. This gave my background tons of shine!

Once the panel was completely dry, I trimmed it down to 3 3/4″ x 5″ and layered 3 pieces of cardstock behind that were the same size. This adds dimension and support to my background.

Once again I added the Fancy For You die to the front but this time diecut from Gold Foil cardstock.

I also added some enamel dots to the front of my card using the Sea Shore, Shades of Purple and Tropical Forest collections. They actually stick really well to my textured background, I was quite impressed.

Moving on to other products in the release we have the new Cloud Scene and Mountain Scene Stencils. Wow! Talk about realistic and very easy to use!

For the clouds I used a very soft blue ink (sorry don’t remember which one!). To stencil on the mountains I used Lavender Fields and Soft Lilac.

I added a lake under my mountains by ink blending Sea Breeze and Turquoise inks and for the trees I used Grassy Fields and Shadow Creek.

Doesn’t this look like it should be a painting on a wall? So cool!

I finished it off with a sentiment from the Crafty Greetings set.

My next card is again using the Cloud Scene and Mountain Scene Stencil.

This time I used Silver Stone and Industrial Diamond for the mountains.

I ink blended the lake with Dew Drops and Aqualicious and for the trees I used Grassy Fields, Shadow Creek and Mountain Pine inks.

This time I paired the Fancy Greetings with my card by stamping in black ink.

My last card for today is featuring the Trellis stencil. I started by ink blending the stencil on white cardstock with Aqualicious and Firefly inks. I made sure to not blend all the way to the edge but make it fade off.

Then I stamped the Statement Flowers image over the top in black ink.

I finished off with a heat embossed sentiment and a few enamel dots from the Sea Shore collection.

I hope you enjoyed today’s inspiration! I absolutely had a blast creating these cards.
