Lawn Fawn Mini Release: Village Heroes

Welcome everyone! Lawn Fawn is celebrating a Mini Release that includes products very fitting for the time we are in right now. Welcome Village Heroes! Something else that is totally amazing is 100% of the profits go to Covid Relief.

Now I may have gotten a little carried away on this card but I couldn’t help myself.

I stamped the images from Village Heroes, Happy Village and Village Shops in Jet Black ink and colored with copic markers. Then used the coordinating die to cut them out with my Spellbinders Platinum 6 die cutting machine.

Now I will admit, this is my first Slimline card but I can see why people love them! They are great if you want to create scenes! There is so much room on your card front.

I’m using the new Large Slimline with Sliders die set. I die cut one piece from White card stock and the larger frame from Sunflower card stock.

Die cutting these can be a little tricky because they don’t quite fit on my cutting plates. I held my die in place with purple tape and ran through my die cutting machine. Unless you have an extended platform you probably won’t get this to cut the whole thing on one pass. So then I repositioned the card stock so the end that didn’t cut on the first go-round will now go through the machine.

I did a little ink blending for a sky using Salty Ocean and Chipped Sapphire Distress Oxide Inks. I really tie my scene in I added a strip of Cilantro card stock for grass and created my own road using Black Licorice cards stock.

Here’s a look at the entire new Mini Release!
