Welcome everyone! Slowly but surely I’m working on my December Daily album for 2019. I have a little tablet where I keep notes about the stories I want to tell and what picture I want to use.

My first story I want to tell is about Freshman Orientation for my daughter. What I love about December Daily is even though this happened on December 2, I can tell the story whenever I want.
There were a lot of emotions going on this day. Before we even left for orientation, we were dealing with a meltdown from my son. With emotions already running amuck, Ali and I went to orientation. I didn’t include the information about what happened prior to this because I wanted the story to be about her and how I felt about my daughter heading to high school. This is going to be a huge transition for all of us.
The number itself is a cork piece I had received in a previous Ali Edwards kit. I added embossing ink to the cork piece and white heat embossed it.
The piece behind the number is acetate. I added stripes by using the Sassy Stripes stencil from Gina K Designs and applying Thermoweb Decofoil Transfer Gel Duo. Once dry, I added Radiant Red foil and ran through my diecutting machine. The pressure from the machine attaches the foil to the gel.

The journaling I did in Photoshop using a journal card from Ali Edwards. I also added some word art from the Change Kit from Ali Edwards and printed on my Epson printer. The story kit changes everything month and this one I used was from a couple years ago.
Super simple but really happy with how this came out.
