Welcome back everyone! I have a card to share using the Spellbinders Large Die of the Month: Santa’s Helpers. This die includes lots pieces to make Santa, a boy elf and a girl elf. The “Santa’s Reindeer Die Set” is a great add on to this kit which is what I used in my card today.
What’s really cool about this month’s kit is you can use them on cards like I have shown below or create as a shape card. Another fun feature is if you do not attach the inside piece of the arms, you can tuck a candy cane, message or money behind the character.
CARD DETAILS
I die cut my Santa and Reindeer from a variety of card stock that I have on hand. For some fun, I die cut the antlers and reindeer nose from glitter card stock.
I added them to a background I created by ink blending the Nordic Snowflake stencil from Taylored Expressions onto Sea Glass card stock with Cookie Monster ink using a blending brush.
Any excess of the characters hanging off the edges, I trimmed off with scissors.
I finished off the card by adding a sentiment from the Mini Strips Holiday stamp set from Taylored Expressions. I heat embossed the sentiment in white onto Lollipop card stock.
