Welcome everyone! I’ve been down with a horrible head cold that sucked the mojo right out of me. As I’m easing back into it I thought I would start with something fun and familiar.
I ordered the Tree Arch die from Hero Arts a few weeks ago and thought I’d dig that out to play with. Something real easy? I die cut it from Black card stock to create a silhouette. For a little shimmer, I sprayed the Tree Arch with White Iridescent Shimmer Mist.

One of my new favorite techniques with the Hero Arts Reactive Inks is ink smooshing. Since I wanted to cover an entire card front, I smooshed Fruit Punch, Creamsicle and Lemon Drop Reactive Ink onto my Tim Holtz Glass mat. Then I sprayed with water and smooshed my paper into the ink.
I didn’t move the paper around, just pushed it into the ink and let it sit there for a moment. Then I lifted it up and I had this gorgeously blended background. It really is seamless and vibrant!

Once the background was dry, I added my Tree Arch with spray adhesive. I stamped a sentiment from the Layered Dragonfly set in Obsidian Black ink.
So simple and so beautiful and eye-catching!
Hope you enjoyed today’s card!
