Welcome everyone! It’s time for the Simon Says Stamp Rest & Refresh Release! Summertime is peeking around the corner! Can you see it?
I’m focusing on the new stencil that is being released. This is the Nautical Stripes Stencil. The stencil can be used in so many ways and themes.
I attached my stencil to Neenah White card stock 80 lb with some Pixie Spray. Then I added In The Navy ink from Gina K Designs using a Life Changing Blender Brush.
I trimmed out the panel with the Stitched Rectangles die and added to another piece of white card stock cut from the next size bigger in the Stitched Rectangles. I mounted the panel onto a piece of Kraft card stock using the Gina K Designs tape runner.
To add a bit of a scene, I die cut the Picture Book Sky Background from White and Moonstone card stock. Before adding this to my card front I’m stamping a sentiment from the Vacation Time stamp set with Altenew Obsidian Black Ink. I attached the cloud scene to my card switching out the white clouds for the Moonstone clouds.
The palm tree and seagull are from the Surfs Up stamp set. I stamped in copic friendly ink and colored with copic markers. Then cut out with the coordinating die and added to my card front with foam tape.
I love these stripes in the dark blue! Really adds to the nautical scene.
