Cards Distress Oxide Inks Gina K Designs

Gina K Designs August Release Blog Hop – Day 1

Welcome everyone! I’m so thrilled and grateful to be Guest Designing for the  Gina K Designs August Release Blog Hop! I have a couple projects to share with you today plus information on a giveaway! Keep reading!

There is also a process video how I created a card using these stunning sunflowers! You can view down below or HERE on my Youtube channel.

(how cool is that?!)

To create today’s card, I’m starting out by making my background by splattering paint onto a piece of Gina K Designs white cardstock.

These beautiful sunflowers are stamping in Almalgam Ink onto Neenah Solar White cardstock and colored with copic markers. I use the coordinating dies to die cut them out for my card front.

Once I have an idea how I want the images laid out, I attach my leaves straight onto the card. Then add foam squares to my Sunflowers for dimension.

How gorgeous is this sentiment from the stamp set?! For a little added interest, I used some Ivory Jewels from Pretty Pink Posh.
For my second card, I’m using one of the other floral images from this same stamp set. I start with my background using Canson Watercolor paper. Then paint on Candied Apple, Ripe Persimmon, Wild Honey and Mustard Seed Dsitress Oxide.
Once completely dried, I’m going to stamp my floral image usingthe Gina K Designs Amalgam ink. I’ll stamp it twice since the watercolor paper is textured. I’ll also go ahead and stamp my sentiment.
Then using some copic markers, I add a little dimension to my flowers to make them pop. Once colored, I’ll flick on some of those same Distress Oxide colors that I used for the background.
I’m tying it all together with Ivory Jewels from Pretty Pink Posh. This is such a gorgeous stamp set!
