What a fabulous release from Simon Say Stamp! I received some more goodies last week and I have been just itching to create!
Hi everyone! Sorry I was missing in action lately. I had a couple teeth removed on Monday (mainly because I refuse to get a root canal) and it really took a toll on me. I didn’t get motivation to move until about Thursday. It’s still pretty sore but I wanted to play with my new goodies so bad! Now I need to find my mojo lol… ok … onto the card!
For this card I’m using the Surf’s Up stamp set. I embossed my image with white embossing powder and then masking areas as I went, I ink blended my image. I used Broken China and Blueprint Sketch Distress Oxide for the water, Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide for the sand, and Tumbled Glass Distress Ink for the sky. I used the coordinating die cut to cut out the circle.
On a piece of Neenah white cardstock, I stamped my images with copic friendly ink then colored with copic markers. I also used the coordinating die to cut these out as well. I love having coordinating dies with my images. I don’t have a lot of room on my desk anymore and my diecutting machine takes up less space then my Scan N Cut. The coordinating dies are an investment but I think they are well worth it.
For my back panel, I used a piece Fog cardstock and stamped the Vacation Time sentiment in Versamark ink throughout the cardstock. Then diecut with the Stitched Rectangle Die. This was added to a piece of Neenah white cardstock.
I’ll have more inspiration coming soon from the Simon Says Stamp Good Vibes release!

Love your card, that is such a fun stamp set. I'm glad you're feeling better. You'd think with all of the technological advances, dentistry would have progressed a bit more than it has. The dentist appointment is always the one I dread the most, even if it's just for a cleaning. Ugh.
This is just wonderful, Mindy! Love how you grounded the focal scene with stamped patterns. Thanks for joining the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge!
