Alcohol inks Nuvo Shimmer Powder Simon Says Stamp

Simon Says Stamp Good Vibes Release

It’s that time!! The Simon Says Stamp Good Vibes release is available !
I have lots of cards to share with you today. I’ll be focusing on the Deborah Die from Simon Says Stamp which Simon Says Stamp sent me to play with. Thank you Simon!  I had so much fun creating backgrounds for this die, the possibilities are endless!
For this first card, I did some ink blending on a piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock. I used Scattered Straw, Fossilized Amber, Spiced Marmalade and Candied Apple Distress inks. Then I took outside (or in a well ventilated area) and heavily spray some Glitter Dust spray to the background. It has such a gorgeous sparkle to it now!
I die cut this fabulous Debra die from Neenah white cardstock. Be sure to check out my VIDEO on a little trick I found to cutting intricate dies. It helped me so much!
I added my die cut panel to the front of my blended background with some spray adhesive (also use in a well ventilated area). This sentiment is from Simple Sentiments stamp set. I stamped onto Black cardstock with Simon Says Stamp Clear Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. Then trimmed own to a thin strip and attached to the front of my card.
My second card shown, I created an alcohol ink background. I used Limeade, Pistachio and Sail Boat blue alcohol ink on Yupo paper. Then trimmed this panel down (once completely dry) with the stitched rectangle die.
I die cut the Debra die from Neenah white cardstock and trimmed off the border. My alcohol ink background is attached to a white A2 size cardbase. Using the spray adhesive again, I was able to attach my Debra die cut perfectly.
I used Simon Says Stamp Black Glitter cardstock with the Big Thanks die and backed it with Vellum.
Shown below are the cards I created in the video. This first one is almost the exact same except I switched sides.  I used the same Simple Sentiments stamp set but just a different sentiment.
These colors are just delicious!
Seriously check out that sparkle!
This next card is also featured in my video. I created a background using some Tonic Shimmer Powders. These are a lot of fun to play with! I used Canson Watercolor paper for my front panel and created a water-ish background.
I LIGHTLY tapped the bottle of shimmer powder onto the cardstock. Then spritzed with water and moved it around my card. I personally like to heat my cardstock with my heat gun so the colors settle and I see where I want to add more color.
I used a piece of Applemint cardstock for my A2 size cardstock and added a panel of white cardstock. My watercolor background is trimmed down to 3 3/4″ x 5″ and added to my panels.
I adore the Simple Sentiments stamp set and used it again here on white cardstock. To pull my colors out a little more, I added a few Sea Glass Jewels from Pretty Pink Posh with my jewel picker and Lawn Fawn Glue.
I hope you enjoyed this inspiration!
