Hey everyone! Today I’m playing along with the challenge from Kraftin Kimmie Stamps! It’s all about shape cards!!
I kept the design pretty simple but it take me a little while to create. I started out by create my shape card. I took a piece of white cardstock measuring 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored it in the middle and folded. Then using a circle shape die, I laid that over my folded base making sure to hang it off the folded edge a little. Then ran through my diecut machine. This gives me my base.
Next I cut a scalloped circle from Kraft cardstock and a layering circle from Neenah white cardstock. These are from a retired C.C. Designs layering circle set that I had.
I used the Blooming Circle die and diecut this from a random piece of white cardstock. This is where it gets time consuming. I kept all my pieces together and laid them on my table. Then went through and colored the flowers and leaves with my copic markers. It was easier to color having them all still placed in the cardstock, just tricky getting them lined up. Then I carefully removed the top piece, layered that on top of my white circle, using it like a stencil and individually glued the flowers and leaves in. This helped me keep everything where it was supposed to go.
Using my Misti took, I stamped my sentiment from the Sincere Thanks stamp set from Kraftin Kimmie Stamps using Wicked Black ink. I added some Nuvo Jewel and Glitter drops around the flowers for some extra embellishing.
