Mother’s Day Card – Simon Says Stamp

Hey everyone! I’m sharing TWO Mother’s Day cards with you today. I’m also going to be entering these into the Simon Says Stamp Flickr challenge. I better make sure I mail at least one of these cards since my mom will see them on Facebook haha!
I was having a little fun with different ink combos so that is why you are seeing two here. I do have a video at the end of this post which is showing you how I created the Blue/purple/pink card.
I’m going to start out by ink blending the bottom half of a piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock measuring 4″ x 5 1/4″ with Blueprint Sketch, Wilted Violet & Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide inks.
Using another piece of cardstock measuring the same size but out of Neenah Solar white, I’m going to diecut the Pebbles die. I’ll add that ontop of my distress panel using my tape runner and some Nuvo Deluxe adhesive.
Then I’ll stamp the sentiment above my pebbles. I probably should have done this before adhering to the distressed panel but it still worked out. I’ll use my T-square ruler to add a line above my words just because I like the look of it. Then I can add my diecut MOM from the Bold Mom die. I realized my line wasn’t long enough and just brought back my T-square ruler to extend it out a little.
Before adding to my cardbase, I spritzed my panel with Distress Resist Spray. This left a beautiful texture look to the top of my card. Be sure to use this in a box away from EVERYTHING. Once dried, I added my panel to a black 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ notecard.
This stunning butterfly is diecut from the Stitched Butterflies die using Silver cardstock from Simon Says Stamp. I love this glitter paper because the glitter does not come off! I can then piece my butterfly together and add to my card.
Both cards were created the same way. This card was ink blending Candied Apple, Picked Raspberry and Squeezed Lemonade.
My butterfly is die cut from some Champagne Glitter cardstock.
This time I used a sentiment from the  Mom Flowers stamp set.
I hope you enjoyed both cards today!
Be sure to check out the Simon Says Stamp Flickr challenge that is still going on!
I have a video you can check out either down below on HERE on my youtube channel.
