Guess what today is?!!! It’s release day! I have one more peek to share with you today for the Sugar Pea Designs release. These products will be LIVE on their website at 6pm EST tonight!
Today’s card is featuring this gorgeous Wagon Wishes stamp set and Sending sentiment/die.
I started with my background because you all know I love my backgrounds! Using a piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock, I white heat embossed this wagon full of beautiful flowers. Then, I ink blended Blueprint Sketch, Mermaid Lagoon and Salty Ocean distress oxide inks. Ispritzed with water and dabbed with a paper towel.
Taking a small paintbrush and picking up small amounts of water, I painted over parts of my wagon image. The water will pick up the ink and leave this faded area which really stands out against the colors! I love “painting” with distress oxides! It is such a fabulous technique. I continue doing this over various parts of the image.
I layered this to a white cardbase using foam tape for some dimension. I also diecut the Sending word from white card 3 times and layered them using Nuvo Deluxe adhesive. I stamped and white heat embossed this cute little sentiment onto black cardstock and attached to my card.
For a finishing touch, I added a few Clear Iridescent gems around my image and sentiment.
I hope you like this card as much as I do! Just imagine the colors you could use with this technique!
