Welcome back everyone ! Today I’m sharing this adorable little butterfly image from C.C. Designs! I’ll have a process video tomorrow so be sure to keep an eye on my Youtube channel!
I’m going to start off by creating my background so it has time to dry. I am using a piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock and will ink blend Abandoned Coral and Shaded Lilas distress oxide inks. Next, I’m going to attach the Snowfall Stencil to the ink blended background and apply Nuvo Glitter paste Moonstone. This is one of my favorite glitter pastes!
I’ll smooth the glitter paste over the stencil and then carefully remove the stencil from my panel. You’ll want to wash off the palette knife and stencil right away because the glitter paste dries pretty fast on these items. Then I’ll set the card off on the side to dry.
While my background is drying, I’m going to color in my Cutie Butterfly. I stamp my image onto Neenah White cardstock with MFT Extreme Black ink which is a copic friendly ink. Then color in with my copic markers. I’ll use my Scan n Cut machine to cut out my image leaving a white border around it.
Once my ink blended panel is dry, I trim it down to 4″ x 5 1/4″ and adhere it to an A2 size cardbase. I’ll add my image with some foam squares for a little added dimension. Then I’ll attach my sentiment strip that I created using the Banners die, Girly Sentiments stamp set and white embossing powder.
**UPDATE!! Here is the video for my card you can view down below or on my youtube channel.**
I love the magical effect this background gives the image. Hope you enjoyed it!
