Hello everyone! Welcome back! Today is Wonderful Wednesday at Kraftin Kimmie Stamps! Be sure to head over to the blog to check out the challenge for today and keep an eye on the website … I think some super duper specials are coming up!!
My card today is featuring the rerelease of Ice Fairy! I’m so excited for this stamp set. I’ve seen so many gorgeous creations with it. I wasn’t cardmaking at the time of the original release so I’m glad to see Kim bringing some of these fan favorites back.
I kept my card kind of simple to keep the focus on the image. Do you ever notice how you go through cardmaking stages…? Like for a while, for me, it was stencils – then intense backgrounds, oxides ..ect ….. lately it’s been clean and simple. I love all styles of cardmaking!
Once I colored my image I (tried) to make it look like she was skating on ice. Then I lightly stenciled in a cloud background. I used tumbled glass distress ink because its super light and I didn’t have to fussy cut a mask because if you’ve been following me a while … you know I’m not a fan of fussy cutting haha!
The sentiment I stamped in versafine ink. Once I had the background done, I cut it out with a stitched border die from Pink & Main and popped it up with craft foam. Then attached to a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ card base. Some final touches are adding a little clear wink of stella and a couple sequins.
