Holiday Mischief – Newton’s Nook

Hi everyone! Today I’m sharing a fun card featuring this darling kitty from Newton’s Nook. I also have a video to accompany this card that you can watch either here on the blog or on my Youtube channel HERE.
I started out by stamping my image from Holiday Mischief onto some Neenah White cardstock using Simon Says Stamp Black Ink. I stamped my hat first and then masked it so I can stamp the kitty. Then it looks like the hat is sitting on top of the kitty’s head. Next I colored in with my copic markers. I added that little Santa placecard towards the end of my process because I didn’t realize it was on the stamp set – so cute!!
I cut multiples of the Ho Ho Ho die cut from Simon Says Stamp from red, green and black cardstock. I did some layering to make them dimension. The green has about 4 stacked, red has 2 and black has just the one because I need to layer on to of it. I actually attached these all together with glossy accents because I couldn’t find my Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive.  Before adding them to my card, I lined them up to get an idea where I could stamp my sentiment.
I then added a strip of Silver Glitter Cardstock and a patterned piece of paper from Pink & Main to the bottom of the card. The card is finished off with Nuvo Crystal Black Ebony drops. Does it look like an odd placement of drops? If you watch the video I had a small black smudge in the corner of my card so I decided to add the Nuvo drops to cover it up. I added two sets and wanted a third but had a heck of a time deciding where it should go haha! Either way, I’ve very happy with this card!

Here’s the video for you to take a closer look at the process.

  1. This kitten is just adorable, just as your card. And the dots don't look weirdly placed to me.
