I love today’s challenge because I love making shaker cards! It’s not the only way to use sequins but it is definitely one of my favs! I have been dying to try out this design and who says you can’t have a shaker card with a cow? I used a colorful batch of sequins and jewels to kind of resemble a rainbow.
For this card, I started out by stamping the cow from the stamp set Cow’s It Going. This was a little tricky as there is actually a bottle in the cow’s mouth. So I masked off the farmer and gently wiped away the ink from the mouth area. I made sure to make the muzzle of the cow a dark color to cover up anything I missed. Worked out really well!
I colored up the cow in my copic markers and worked on my background. This is a fun background from My Favorite Things. I’ve been having fun with stencils lately and couldn’t resist pairing the Cow Print Stencil with this set. I used Black Soot Distress ink and the cool part about it is I can make it a light grey or black.. just depending how much ink I apply.
