Hey friends! I’m poppin in to share with you a one-layer card I created using the new Tim Holtz Distress Watercolor Pencils. Now available are sets 4,5, and 6.
For the card, I’m using this beautiful image from the Friendship Leafy Cluster set. I stamped the image onto Distress Watercolor Paper (smooth side) using Versafine Ink.

Then I added a bit of color to the leaves and spread the color out with my water brush. The colors I used are Wilted Violet and Chipped Sapphire. The overlap is always my favorite!
After it was dry, I stamped a sentiment from the same stamp set using the Versafine Ink once again and added to a side folding card base.

I thought about adding embellishments but sometimes it’s nice to stay clean and simple.
These colors moved so nicely on the watercolor paper and are very vibrant! I certainly need to do this more often!
You can pick up any of these new sets over at Simon Says Stamp.
Thanks for stopping in!
(Disclosure: Simon Says Stamp sent me the new sets with no obligation to create with them. )

Super pretty! I’m not in the market for these b/c I already have so many other TH items like these but your card is gorgeous!
Pretty card Mindy!!
Lovely cards. Do you have a video on this and how you used the pencils? Love to see your technique.
I’m sorry I don’t have a video for this but hope to in the near future .
