Hello friends!
I’m sharing some inspiration using brand new products from Spellbinders. I’m using a mix of 3D embossing folder, glimmer hot foil plates and stitching dies.
VIDEO
I have a video that walks you through how I created these cards. You can watch the video down below or HERE on my Youtube channel.

In the video I am showing a handful of products that I have and then limited myself as to what I was going to work with on my cards. All the supplies, including products shown but not used, are listed in the video description and also down below.
For my first card, I’m using the Holly & Foliage 3D Embossing Folder. I added White pigment ink over the top with a flat blending brush and splatters with Starry Watercolors.

The focal point is a stitching die from the Stitched Christmas Sweater set.

My sentiment is from the new A Merry Little Christmas Sentiments Glimmer Hot Foil Plates.

Next, I have some cards using the Stitched Christmas Tree. I had a lot of fun with this one.
I started with Red cardstock and stitched with Gold thread. Then added the border around the top panel with Mirror Gold Cardstock.

The sentiment, once again comes from A Merry Little Christmas Glimmer Hot Foil Plate.

I really do love this new Holly & Foliage 3D Embossing Folder. This time, since used Green cardstock, I ink blended over the top with a flat blending brush and dark green ink.

More splatters of course.

My final card is a scavenger hunt. Can you find the missing stitch? lol
I didn’t notice until I was editing my pictures but I missed a stitch on my Stitched Christmas Tree. I used dark blue cardstock with a light blue thread.
Can you blame me for missing a stitch? I was binge-watching Pirates of the Caribbean while stitching.

Now for this background, again using the Holly & Foliage 3D Embossing Folder, I went over the background with White pigment ink.

I used another sentiment from A Merry Little Christmas Glimmer Hot Foil Plate but foiled in Silver on the same color of cardstock. I love this tone on tone look!

Can I swoon over my own card? lol ..

I hope you enjoyed today’s inspiration! I am showing a few more things in my video that I have ready to turn into a card so be sure to check that out.
I’m also sharing a few great tips about using 3D embossing folders that I hope help!
Thanks for stopping by!

Dear Mindy –
Thanks for the very thorough and helpful look at these new Spellbinders items. I really love that foil plate/stencil combo of the holly branches and berries. I also like the embossing folder. I visited the SB site and found a few new word stencils (noel / joy / merry xmas) that I had not noticed earlier (not sure how I was so oblivious… it was a stressful morning, though, so maybe I just wasn’t seeing what was clearly right in front of me). Very worthwhile viewing…as always.

You can absolutely swoon over your own card – they are stunning!!
I am relatively new to stitching on cards and didn’t see a needle in the supply list – can you tell me what size and where you got it? Apologize if you answered that in the video – haven’t had a chance to watch it yet.
oh! I’m so sorry! I have like 5 packages laying around so I didn’t even think of it lol ! Here is my affiliate link (no cost to you) to the needles from Spellbinders that I recommend. https://shrsl.com/459p1
